James Haskell "Hack" Alexander, 75, resident of Apt. #2 Louise St. Lowndesville, SC died Saturday July 31, 2010 at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Lowndesville, SC, he was a son of the late George P. Alexander and Janie Waters Alexander.
Hack was a United States Army veteran and was retired from the construction business. He attended Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include 1 son Kevin Dale "Bo" Alexander of Honea Path, SC; 1 daughter Krystal Dawn Alexander U.S. Navy Chicago. IL; 3 brothers Thomas and John Alexander of Abbeville, SC and William Alexander of Troy, SC; 6 sisters Virginia McCarley, Mary Jane Rosser and Sara Grimes of Abbeville, SC, Juanita Mayfield of Greenwood, SC, Nancy Hiers of Walterboro, SC and Caroline Cobb of Summerville, Georgia; Myra Sells his companion of Lowndesville, SC; 5 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday Aug. 2, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Campbell officiating. The burial will follow in The Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lowndesville, SC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Monday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home. The family is at the home of his sister Mr.& Mrs. J.C. Rosser 80 Alexander Drive Abbeville, SC.
