Horace Alfred Kidd

Horace Alfred Kidd, 86, resident of 303 Hwy. 71 passed away Tuesday Nov. 25, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Paoli, Georgia, he was a son of the late William Henry Kidd and Sue Mitchell Kidd. He was widower of Dora Frances Vail Kidd.

He was a retired Loom Fixer with Calhoun Falls Mill having worked for over 50 years. He was a devoted member of the Abbeville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include four sons Horace Alfred Kidd, Jr. (Kathryn), Alan Wayne Kidd (Beverly), Randall J. Kidd (Jenny) and John D. Kidd (Lynn) all of Abbeville, SC; one daughter Beverly Kidd Shaw (Michael) Vidalia, Georgia; one brother Doyle Kidd of Abbeville, SC; two sisters Mazelle Daniel and Marie Haynie both of Calhoun Falls, SC; Twelve grandchildren and Fifteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday Nov. 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses with Jason Derbyshire officiating. The family is at the home 303 Hwy. 71 Abbeville, SC.

In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Horace may be made to the Abbeville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 315 Hwy. 71 Abbeville, SC 29620.
