Harry "Herbie" Herbert Mincey

Harry Herbert Mincey, Jr., 58, resident of 81 Oakridge St. husband of Nancy Tiller Mincey passed away Wednesday March 4, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Elberton, Georgia he was a son of the late Harry Herbert, Sr. and Inez Terrell Mincey.

He was a retired United States Navy veteran with 20 years of military service as a Petty Officer. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Tiller Mincey of the home; a son Chris Mincey and his wife Margaret of Abbeville, SC; a brother Winford Mincey and a sister Shirley McClain both of Elberton, Georgia; 2 grandchildren C.J. and Gabriella Paige Mincey.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday March 9, 2009 at 2:30 PM in Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.

The family will receive friends at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Monday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to services. The family will be at the home 81 Oakridge St. Abbeville, SC.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
