Harold "Harry" Reid Crawford

Harold Reid Crawford, 82, resident of 168 Tom Crawford Rd., husband of Jenifer Baker Crawford, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010.

Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late William Thomas Crawford and Mary Reid Crawford.

Harold was a United States Coast Guard veteran. He retired from the City of Abbeville Water & Sanitation Dept. with over 19 years of service. Before retirement he worked with Hughes Well Drilling Co. He also owned and managed his own dairy. He was an active member of Bells United Methodist Church. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jenifer Baker Crawford of the home; 1 daughter, Mary Ann Harned and her husband Todd of Easley, SC; 2 sons, Frank Crawford and his wife, Cathy and Glenn Crawford all of Abbeville, SC; 2 sisters, Reba Stille and her husband Harry of Due West, SC and Elizabeth Ferguson of Abbeville, SC; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Thomas Crawford and Robert Crawford.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday Dec. 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Bells United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Marsh Officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of his son Mr. & Mrs. Frank Crawford 31 Turtle Point Abbeville, SC.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.
