Glendel McMahan Roper

Glendel McMahan Roper, 97, widow of J.M. "Bud" Roper passed away Thursday March 24, 2011 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. she was a daughter of the late Floyd F. McMahan and Sadie Lewis McMahan.

Survivors include 1 sister, Jackie Bonds of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother, Johnny McMahan and his wife, Polly, of Abbeville, SC; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family is at the home of her sister Jackie Bonds 207 Magazine St. Abbeville, SC.


The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.
