George Leon Peacon, III

July 18, 1940 — July 6, 2013

George Leon Peacon III, 72, resident of 62 Peacon Lane husband of Mary Peacon passed away Saturday July 6, 2013 at Anderson Area Medical Center.

Born in Miami, Florida he was a son of the late George Leon Peacon, Jr. and Ada
Milligan Peacon.

George was a retired Commercial Pilot with Eastern Airlines. He was a United States
Army veteran having served in Vietnam with the 117th Avn. Co. He was an avid
big game hunter having made 5 African Safari hunting trips. He will be missed by his
loving family and his many friends.

Survivors include his beloved wife Mary Peacon of the home; a daughter Heather
Peacon-Corn and her husband John P. Corn of Hiram, Georgia; a son Brett Peacon of Greenwood, SC and 2 granddaughters Ashlann Peacon and Madde Peacon.

A Celebration of George's life will be conducted Saturday July 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM
at his home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Friday evening
July 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
