George Harold Ferguson

January 31, 1924 — June 26, 2011

George Harold Ferguson, 86, formerly of Due West, SC ,resident of James H. Quillen Nursing Center in Johnson City, TN, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC, he was a son of the late Charlie Ferguson and Corrie Evans Ferguson.

He was a graduate of Due West schools and a United States Army veteran. He was retired on disability and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Mable Ferguson of Savannah, GA, Betty Sue Scearce of Loveland, CO and Barbara La Brecque of Rumson, NJ; a special nephew, Tim Ferguson of North Augusta, SC; nieces, Yvonne Dean of Manasquan, NJ, Amanda Stevens of Fair Haven, NJ, Susan Ellis of Windsor, CO and Leslie Bumgardner of Lexington, SC; nephews, Phil Scearce of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Mike Ferguson of Charleston, SC, Johnny Ferguson of Aiken, SC and Thomas Ferguson of Greer, SC; And a host of special great neices and nephews, KellerAnn and John Bumgardner, Elizabeth and Matthew Ferguson, Brynn and Bergen Ellis, Brett and Ryan Deans, Cole, Ford and Trent Stevens and Patricia Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by siblings, Martha Ferguson, Azalee Ferguson, Charles Ferguson, Lester Ferguson and John Thomas Ferguson.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Little Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating.
