Geneva Pickens Floyd

May 2, 1933 — July 1, 2019

  Geneva Pickens Floyd, 86, formerly of Keowee Road, Iva, widow of Hoke Floyd, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at NHC of Anderson.

  Born on May 2, 1933, in Hart County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Willie Owens Pickens.  Geneva worked at Forrester Restaurant for many years and was a member of Mission Baptist Church.

  She was preceded in death by five brothers and a great grandchild.

  Surviving are her two daughters, Ann F. Taylor of Anderson, and Nancy Phillips of Belton; five sons, Harold Floyd, Jimmy Floyd, both of Belton, Virgil Floyd of Flowery Branch, GA, David Floyd of Iva, and Tommy Floyd of Anderson; a brother, Buddy Pickens of Iva; three sisters, Katrina Saylors of Hartwell, GA, Gather Bridges of Danielsville, GA and Barbara Woods of Seneca; sixteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

  The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 pm.

  Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, July 5th at South Lawn Memorial Gardens in Anderson with the Rev. Tim Edmonds officiating.

  The family members are at their respective homes.
