We are sure saddened by the passing of Mr. Copeland. Janine and I so fondly remember our times at Sharon School with Mr. Copeland as our principal and our teacher. He so positively impacted our lives and those of so many more ! We also remember his greetings and humor at church. He was a great man and we feel so blessed for having known him.
Mrs. Copeland, Johnny and family you are in our most sincere prayers.

Rosemary and family, Mr. Copeland taught me seventh grade social studies at Sharon. My mother, Frances, was also a teacher there; therefore, I never got into any "trouble." Certainly not in Mr. Copeland's class. As I remember he was always fun to be around and taught a good class. May God's Grace sustain each of you during this sad and difficult time. Rest In Peace, Mr. Copeland.

Even though our ages arent now far apart , I have always called Gene Mr. Copeland because he earned my respect from day one as one of his first students at Sharon . Oh did we love him and all the girls adored him. We had a lot of fun and learned at the same time . Our sympathy goes out to Rosemary and family!
