Frances Parnell Page

Frances Parnell Page, 85, of 305 Wardlaw St., widow of James Alfred Page, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Martha Ann Sharpton Parnell. She was a retired textile employee with Abbeville Mills. She was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church and of the Bristow Sunday school class.

Surviving are daughter, Linda Jenks of Abbeville; sons, Jerry A. Page of Fountain Inn, and Robert 'Dale' Page of Abbeville; brothers, Franklin Parnell of Abbeville, Aaron Parnell and Howard Parnell, both of Calhoun Falls, and David Parnell of McCormick; sister, Betty Ruth Mauney of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Abbeville First Baptist Church by the Rev. Reiny Koschell; burial will be in Melrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Abbeville Chapter, c/o Mrs. Conway Shirley, P.O. Box 566 , Due West, S.C. 29639.
