Frances Bowie Gunter

Frances Bowie Gunter, 75, resident of 455 Hwy. 20 wife of William Gunter passed away peacefully Monday morning April 28, 2008 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late Joseph Beauregard and Addie Bonds Bowie.

She was a devoted homemaker and a avid gardener. She was of the Baptist faith. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and a loyal and true friend of all who knew her. She will be sorely missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years William "Junior" Gunter of the home; 3 sons Michael Gunter and his wife Tina of Abbeville, SC, Steve Gunter and his wife Rhonda of Anderson, SC and Jimmy Lawton of Greenwood, SC; 1 daughter Frances Ivester and her husband Barry of Abbeville, SC; 12 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday April 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home 455 Hwy. 20 Abbeville, SC.

Frances is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Tuesday evening.
