Faye Hill Alexander

Josie "Faye" Alexander,79, resident of 201 Haigler St. wife of Thomas Herbert Alexander went to be with her Lord Tuesday May 31, 2016. She passed away peacefully at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Lowndesville, SC she was a daughter of the late George Hugh Hill and Frances Elizabeth Allen Hill.

Faye was a retired textile employee having worked for Rocky River Mills and the Abbeville Shirt Plant. Upon her retirement she became a homemaker and wonderful mother to her children. She was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and her many friends.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years Thomas Herbert Alexander of the home; a daughter Barbara Ann Campbell (Billy) of Athens, Georgia; two sons Curtis Alexander (Tina) of Abbeville, SC and George Alexander (Angela) of Loganville, Georgia; one sister Linda Sorrow (Fletcher) Abbeville, SC; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday June 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Long officiating. The burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:00 PM Friday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home.
