Evelyn Godwin Barefoot

Evelyn Godwin Barefoot born Feb. 27, 1921 passed away April 24, 2016.
She was the widow of George Rufus Barefoot, Jr. and the youngest of 11 children born to Hepsie Catherine and Herbert P. Godwin.
She was retired from J.C. Penney's where she held many positions including buying. She spent most of her retirement in Trenton, MI where she was very active in the co-op of Trenton Towers. She served as secretary, V President and President for several years. She also served as liaison for Trenton Towers Co-op.
Survivors include: a son Gerald Ashley Barefoot, Sr. (Sharon) Lake Orion, MI and a daughter, Evelyn Kay McCormick (Don) of Abbeville, SC; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
