Esther Lee Finley Threlkeld

Esther Lee Finley Threlkeld, 79, of 3504 Cedar Springs Road died Monday, Aug. 12, 2002 at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Abbeville County, she was retired from Abbeville Mills with over 39 years of service. She was the owner and operator of Threlkeld Grocery and Campground. She was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sisters, Catherine F. McCaslan of Anderson and Mary F. Argo of Greenville.

She was the widow of Graymo Threlkeld and the daughter of the late Johnnie and Ioma Carol Finley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Finley; and an infant daughter, Wade Finley.

Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church by the Rev. Darrin Hook; burial will follow in Sharon United Methodist Church cemetery. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The family suggests memorials be made to The Humane Society in Greenwood.
