Esther Carter Ransom

Esther Carter Ransom, 87, resident of Wesley Commons Healthcare formerly of Abbeville Arms Apts. widow of Roy Ransom passed away Tuesday Sept. 9, 2008 at Wesley Commons.

Born in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late Robert Davis and Hattie Bell Carter.

She was a retired textile employee with the J.P. Stevens Co. She was also a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Jean R. Bedingfield of Greenwood, SC and Doris R. Hawkins of Green Cove Springs, FL; and 3 grandchildren, Jeri Lyn Berryman, Sara Hawkins Lee and "Beth" Elizabeth Hawkins Archer.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Rev. Mark James Bedingfield.
