Emma White McReynolds Youngblood

Emma Kate McReynolds Youngblood, 87 of Union Grove, the widow of Jim Youngblood, died Friday December 6, 2013 in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Born in Union Grove, Alabama, May 10, 1926 she was the daughter of the late James Akin White and Annie Tolitha Buck White. She was in the first graduation class of Union Hill High School and later went on to obtain a degree in cosmetology.

Mrs. Youngblood was a member of the Rescue Methodist Church and had retired after 25 years as a Food Service Manager with the Army/Air Force Exchange in Huntsville, Alabama.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Martin D. and Meredith McReynolds of Abbeville, South Carolina; 3 grandchildren: Jesse Acklin McReynolds, Joshua Blue McReynolds and Kristian Garvin; 3 great grandchildren: Kaylee Gin McReynolds, Lilly Grace Garvin and Justin Garvin; a sister: Mary Myrick of Johnson City, Tennessee and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, her church family and many dear friends and neighbors.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Eldridge Criscoe, officiating. Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery in Lacey's Spring, Alabama with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
