I didn't realize that Emily had passed. She was so sweet and though I have not seen her in years, she was such a kind and cheerful person, the kind that leaves a positive impact on your life. I will keep you all in my prayers. H

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family. May God heal and comfort your hearts during this time of great loss. Please know that "God is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." -Psalms 34:18

Emily was a dear friend and taught me so much about life, compassion, and how to handle what ever comes your way with a smile. She was an amazing cook and I will treasure her recipes forever. We will miss her laugh and wisdom, but keep her memories alive.

Dear Family, Geneva and I were sorry to hear of Emily's departure. We have fond memories of her devotion to the Warrenton Presbyterian Church. She was willing to drive our youth to Atlanta following me. She kept her big Pontiac right on my bumper. "Mr. Pettit, I wasn't going to get lost in this town." she said. We got on the wrong street and I told Emily we may have to stay there. She was so much fund and anytime we were in Warrenton she would make certain to come to see us. She even came to see us after we left Warrenton. Please know of our thanksgiving for her and her friendship. You will be in our prayers. Our love, Bob and Geneva Pettit

Faye and family, so sorry about Emily. Growing up I frequently saw Emily at my Aunt Sara's and of course on occasion we would see her out and about. We pray that God would give you the peace that passes all understanding and may you feel His presence in the coming days.
