Elizabeth Greer Kirkpatrick

December 5, 1924 — May 3, 2008

Elizabeth Greer Kirkpatrick, 83, wife of William "Bill" Kirkpatrick passed away Saturday May 3, 2008 at Hospice House of the Upstate in Anderson, SC.

Born in Miami, FL she was a daughter of the late Edwin Altos and Annie Lou Nunn Greer.

She was a retired secretary with Coats and Clark Textiles Co. with 35 years of service. Mrs. Kirkpatrick served as Worthy Matron of her home chapter, Tucker Chapter # 407, from 1956-1957. She also served as Worthy Grand Matron, OES, for the state of Georgia from 1971-1972. She also taught Sunday School and served as President of the Women of the Church at First Presbyterian Church in Tucker, Georgia where she was a member.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years William "Bill" Kirkpatrick of the home; a son Rev. Ed Kirkpatrick of Abbeville, SC; a sister Billie Ann Tatman of Wheatland, WY and a brother Altos Greer of Grayson, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Bill Head Funeral Home in Tucker, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday May 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Bill Head Funeral Home in Tucker, GA. with the Rev. John Little officiating. The burial will follow in Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountian, GA. The family is at the home of her son Rev. Ed Kirkpatrick, Watts Rd. Abbeville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate 1835 Rogers Rd. Anderson, SC 29621 or to Health Well Foundation, PO Box 4133 Gaithersburg, MD 20878 or to a charity of one's choice.
