Eleanor Huff McNeill

Eleanor Huff McNeill, 84, formerly of 107 Alice Drive widow of Frank Palmer McNeill, Jr. passed away Thursday March 6, 2008 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC.

Born in Hodges, SC she was a daughter of the late Dr. Junis Kershaw, Sr. and Sudie Rebecca Willis Huff

Eleanor was a 1943 graduate of Winthrop College with a BS Degree in Chemistry. She was a retired school teacher with Abbeville School District # 60 at Wright Middle School. She was a faithful member of Main St. United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Killingsworth Sunday School Class and the Lovely Lane Circle. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her many friends of The Goodtimers Club of the church where she was also a member.

Survivors include 1 son William Frank McNeill of Atlanta, GA; 1 daughter Eleanor Marie McNeill of Clinton, NC; 2 grandchildren Matthew Alan McNeill and Marie Ann McNeill.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Sue Horton and Cornelia Lofton and a brother Junius K. Huff.
She was the last member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday March 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Main St. United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.

Eleanor is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will recieve friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday in the Greene Center at Main St. United Methodist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to services.
