Eleanor ""Citty"" Davis Davis

Eleanor "Citty" Davis Davis, 74, resident of 401 Marshall Ave. widow of Andrew Davis died Sunday Nov. 5, 2006 at her home.

Born in Honea Path, SC she was a daughter of the late Jesse Wade and Ruth Cain Davis.


She was formerly employed with Abbeville Shirtmakers and ARA Vending Company . She was an active member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.

Survivors include 1 daughter Lynn Davis Sorrow and her husband Paul of Avon Lake, Ohio; a son Andy Davis and his wife Janna of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother George Davis and his wife Mary Ann of Belton, SC; 3 sisters Mildred Moore and her deceased husband Tom of Honea Path, SC, Nancy Johnston and her husband Gary of Honea Path, SC and Betty Yarborough and her husband Ray of Honea Path, SC; 6 grandchildren Radd Copeland, Drew Davis, Haley Sorrow, Kasey Sorrow Anderson, Ashley Sorrow and Ryan Davis; 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday Nov. 7, 2006 at 2:00 PM from Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Pat Hodge officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening. The family is at the home 401 Marshall Ave. Abbeville, SC.
