Elaine Sassi Lansing

Elaine Sassi Lansing, 72, of 120 Beltline Road, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at her home.

Born in East Orange, N.J., she was a retired registered nurse at Salem Community Hospital in Salem, N.J. She was also a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are widower, Harvey Lansing of the home; sons, Glenn James Lansing of Milwaukee, Wis. and Kyle Harvey Lansing of Lakeland, Fla.; and daughters, Layne Lynn Depascale, of Brick, N.J. and Laurie Swiss Goderecci of Franklinville, N.J.

She was the daughter of the late Edwin Paul and Sarah Swiss Sassi. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Edwin Lansing.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Abbeville Chapter, c/o Mrs. Conway Shirley, P.O. Box 566, Due West, S.C. 29639.

The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
