Effie Jean Loftis Hill

Effie "Jean" Loftis Hill, 75, resident of 402 Wesley Court, Starr, SC formerly of Abbeville, SC widow of George Ervin Hill passed away Saturday Jan. 5, 2008 at National Health Care in Anderson, SC.

Born in Anderson, SC she was a daughter of the late Lewis Loftis, Sr. and Lillian Stone Loftis.

She was a retired Lunch Room Manager at Abbeville High School, School District # 60 for over 20 years. Effie Jean also enjoyed spending time and dancing with her many friends at the Lowndesville Community Center. She was also a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 daughters Beverly Manley and Donna Cape and her husband Gene both of Abbeville, SC; 2 brothers Lewis Loftis, Jr. of Iva, SC and Thomas Loftis of Calhoun Falls, SC; 1 sister Helen Campbell of Abbeville, SC; 1 step-sister Ellen Nelson of Lowndesville, SC; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; special friend, Luke Weaver of Hartwell, GA.
She was preceded in death by a son Brian Hill.
