Edith Evatt

Edith Williams Evatt, 90, formerly of 118 Henry St. widow of Earl Shaw Evatt passed away Monday July 8, 2019 at Abbeville Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Greenville, SC she was a daughter of the late Richard Williams and Gatha Young Williams.

Edith retired from Kemit Industries and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors are: two daughters: Kim Beaty (Archie) and Debra Evatt all of Abbeville, SC; a sister Myrtle Cannady of Mauldin, SC; three grandsons James Beaty (April) of Belton, SC, Jason Beaty (Allison) of Abbeville, SC and Brandon Beaty of Abbeville, SC; four great-grandchildren Eli, Luke, Rhett and Reid Beaty.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. James Long officiating.

The family will receive friends at the grave after services.

Memorials in memory of Edith may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 326 Montague Ave. Greenwood, SC 29649.
