Dr. A. was a great role model for me and many others at Thornwell. We had three very particular conversations that I can recall that reflected who he was and what he wanted his students to be in school and in life. He will be missed.

Mrs Alexander and family, I want you to know I greatly appreciate the influence "Dr. A" has had on my boys as well other students in the this community. He had a way of causing people to be respectful when he was around, he expected right choices and good things from his students without making them feel they were less of a person, even when they "messed up". He will be greatly missed! Your family is in our prayers. Beth Oliver&Family

Dr. A was a great man to work for. He always had a kind word for everybody. Dr. A made me feel like could do great things as teacher. He always passed my room with a smile and said,"Hit a home run. I know that you can do it." The encouragement that he gave everyone was awesome. Working for him at Martha Dendy was a true pleasure. He will be missed. The entire Alexander family is in my thoughts and prayers.
