Dorothy Miller Robison, 86, resident of 102 Robison Rd. widow of Frank Allen Robison, Sr. passed away Wednesday April 4, 2018 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Monroe, Georgia she was a daughter of the late James Olin Miller and Edna Mooney Miller.
She was a retired Lunch Room attendant with Abbeville County School District #60. She also worked a number of years in the textile business. She was a active member of Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class, Circle # 2 and the Long Cane Nites Senior Citizens Group. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and with her grand kids.
Survivors include: a son Pete Smith (Phyllis)of Rincon, Georgia; four grandchildren Al Smith, Brad Smith, Jessica Whatley (Nick) and Andrew Robison (Savannah Lewis); two great-grandchildren Aiden Smith and Allyson Whatley; five sisters LaVern Wood, Carol Ann Langley, Judy Marsh, Peggy Rivers all of Greenwood, SC and Janette Masters of Greenville, SC; a daughter-in-law Teresa Robison.
She was preceded in death by a son Frank Allen Robison, Jr. and a sister-in-law Sarah Alice Price.
A Witness to the Resurrection Service will be conducted Sunday April 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Vikki Brogdon officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family is at the home.
