Donald Genar Ferguson

Donald Genar Ferguson, 50, husband of Krissy Salvo Ferguson died Wednesday Jan. 11, 2006 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.

Born in Pickens, SC he was a son of Evelyn Merck Senn and the late Genar William Ferguson.

He was a 1977 graduate of Clemson University having earned a BS Degree in Recreational Parks Administaration.He was the former State Park Superintendent at Calhoun Falls State Park and most recently at Hickory Knob State Park in McCormick. He was also a member of Lebabnon Presbyterian Church and also served as a deacon of the church.

Survivors are: His wife Krissy Salvo Ferguson of the home, 2 sons Adam and Zane Ferguson of the home, 2 daughters Michal and Sara Ferguson of the home, 2 sisters Barbara Sue Bracken of Easley, SC and Joan Elizabeth Baker of Pickens, SC, his mother Evelyn Merck Senn of Liberty, SC.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Jan. 14, 2006 at 2:00 PM from Lebanon Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Arnold Johnson officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville, SC.

The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Deacons Fund, 698 Mt. Carmel Rd. Abbeville, SC 29620 or to Bethany Christian Services in Greenville, SC.
