Dana Camak Prince White, 49, resident of 249 Colony East widow of Joe Luke White, Jr. passed away peacefully Saturday Nov. 24, 2007 at the Hospice House of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.

Born Nov. 10, 1958 in Greenwood, SC she was a daughter of Harold and Marion Camak Prince.

Dana was a 1977 graduate of Abbeville High School she also attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia and was a 1983 graduate of Lander College School of Nursing. Dana was a registered nurse with her career in the medical profession having spanned over 30 years. She was currently employed with the Abbeville Area Medical Center Home Related Healthcare. She was formerly employed with Self Memorial Hospital and Piedmont Physicians for Women for over 19 years. She was also formerly with Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.

Dana was an active lifetime member of Main St. United Methodist Church in Abbeville, SC having served on numerous committee's within the church. She served as Youth Director with her late husband Joe. She also was formerly on the Education Committee serving as chairwomen, the Staff Parish Relations Committee, United Methodist Women, the Ann Moore Circle and the Angel Tree Project. Dana was also named the receipt of the 2006 United Methodist Women Special Mission Recognition Award.

Dana also enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family but the love of Dana's life was spending special time with her girls.

The family would also like to say a special THANK YOU to the medical staffs and personnel at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Hospice Care of the Piedmont and Self Regional Medical Center and the many family and friends for their thoughts and prayers.

Survivors include 2 daughters Anna Camak White and JoBeth Rice White of the home; her parents Harold and Marion Camak Prince of Abbeville, SC; 3 sisters Patti Howie and her husband Tom of Abbeville, SC, Kim Mundy and her husband Drew of Abbeville, SC and Milly Stovall and her husband Paul also of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother Hal Prince of Charlotte, N.C.; mother-in-law Carolyn Rice White of Abbeville, SC; sister-in-laws Karen Miner and her husband Bob of Ft. Mill, SC and Ann Kohler and her husband Joe of St. Petersburg, FL; brother-in-law Ed White and his wife Mary of Abbeville, SC.; 21 nieces and nephews and grand-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Mildred Prince of Abbeville and Pitts and Lida Camak of Ware Shoals, SC.
