Dale "Beulah" Robin McCurry

Dale R. 'Beulah' McCurry, 54, resident of 1629 Rock Hill Rd., widower of Susan Horton McCurry, passed away Tuesday Feb. 16, 2010 at Abbeville Area Medial Center.

Born in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of Novella Busby McCurry and the late Melvin "Buck" McCurry.

Dale was employed at Flexible Technologies with more than 30 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and played softball with Friendship Baptist Church all over the southeast. Dale enjoyed camping, vacationing and was also an avid golfer but of all his activities the love of his life was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by his loving family and his many friends.

Survivors include his 2 daughters Robin M. Raynor and he husband Stuart of Inman, SC and Krista M. Manning and her husband Jamie of Calhoun Falls, SC; his mother Novella Busby McCurry of Abbeville, SC; 1 sister Donna M. Clark and her husband Craig of Abbeville, SC; 2 brothers Danny Ray McCurry of Welford, SC and Don McCurry of Abbeville, SC; 5 grandchildren twins Robert and Seth Raynor and Thomas Raynor, Erin and Ethan Manning; a number of special nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Bandit.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday Feb. 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM in The Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Ellison officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home of his mother Novella McCurry 507 Maple St. Abbeville, SC.

Dale is at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday evening.
