Christopher James Mincey, 54, husband of Crystal Ashby Mincey, resident of George Street, entered into rest at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 22, 1971 in Elberton, GA to the late Herbert and Nancy Tiller Mincey, he was a graduate of Harvest Christian Academy in Jacksonville, FL. He worked as a Fork Lift Driver.

Christopher enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, but mostly loved playing poker.

Surviving other than his wife of 8 years, of the home, are his children, Christopher James “CJ” Mincey, Jr., and Gabby Mincey both of Abbeville; his step-daughter, Cassandra Ashby Henry (B.J.) of TX; the mother of his children, Margaret Mincey of Abbeville; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Janet Manning of Virginia Beach, VA.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday, June 7th at 11:00 AM from the Chandler Chapel of the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Culbreath officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mincey family c/o Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, 208 S. Main Street, Abbeville, SC 29620.
