Christine Kay Wilson

Christine Kay Wilson, 90, resident of 5693 Hwy. 28 wife of Eros Wilson passed away Sunday Sept. 18, 2016 at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born June 15, 1926, in Abbeville County SC she was a daughter of the late James Berry Kay and Euzelia Bowen Kay.

Christine was a graduate of Antreville High School and a member of First Creek Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Senior Ladies' Sunday School Class. She was retired from Sportswear Unlimited. The Wilson family would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Abbeville Nursing Home for the care and love Christine received while she was there.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 68 years Eros Hayne Wilson of the home; a son Eros Wayne Wilson (Carol) of Travelers Rest, SC; three grandchildren, Lauren Rosenbaum (David) of Richmond, VA; Lt. Colonel Stephen Wilson (Carolyn) of Omaha, NE and Meghan Snipes (Ranse) of Lexington, SC; and five great-grandchildren, Connor, Caroline, and Caleb Rosenbaum, and Wilson and Wade Snipes.

She was preceded in death by a brother Robert O. Kay and a sister Willa Dean Kay.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Sept. 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM in First Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Murdock officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the church social hall Saturday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to services.
