Christine "Chris" Golden Clark

Christine "Chris" Golden Clark, 62, left our earthly home to live with her Heavenly Father early Wednesday morning, July 9, 2008.

She was the daughter of Helen Cathlinia and the late Frank Cathlinia. She was born Feb. 22, 1946, in Centerville, Iowa. She moved to Oregon with her parents at six months of age. She made her home there until March of 2007 when she and her husband Bruce moved to Abbeville. She graduated from Sutherlin High School, married and had a son Randy and a daughter Rikke. She divorced and subsequently married Bruce Clark and they raised her 2 children along with Bruce's daughter Kisha.

She worked in banking and at one time was the manager of the Douglas National Bank in Glide, Oregon. She and her husband Bruce founded Crazy Bruce's Appliance in Roseburg, Oregon and successfully operated the business for 19 years until their retirement in 2007.

She had a talent for gardening, decorating, arts and crafts and cooking. She loved animals, fed the birds, rescued strays and doted on her Pomeranian dogs, Ashley and Autumn.
She spent many happy hours entertaining family and friends with gourmet meals and lively conversation. She was an expert in culinary arts. She loved traveling, going to the Oktoberfest in Mt. Angel, Oregon, visiting the Oregon coast and shopping in antique stores.

She is survived by her husband Bruce Clark of Abbeville, SC. They would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on Sunday July 13, 2008. She also in survived by her mother Helen Cathlinia who is 94 and still lives in the family home in Sutherlin, Oregon, two sisters Altie Hays of Roseburg and Frances Dandridge also of Sutherlin, Oregon, a son Randy Severson, and a daughter Rikke Stromberg of Roseburg, Oregon, step-daughters Kisha LeCoure of Roseburg, Oregon, and Lisa Obi and Jill Hoeffeer of Jacksonville, FL.

She has three brother and sister-in-laws, Norv and Carol Wikstrom of Roseburg, Oregon, Jim and Cindy Clark of Oklahoma, and Robert and Anita Clark of Abbeville, SC. Also 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was loved by all and will be missed.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be conducted Sunday July 13, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Main St. United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. The family is at the home of Mrs. Gayle Davison 302 Sunset Drive Abbeville, SC.
