Charles Wendell Hall

July 3, 1933 — March 26, 2012

Charles Wendell Hall, Sr., 78, resident of 332 Nation Rd. widower of Sarah Phillips Hall passed away Monday March 26, 2012 at his home.

Born in Abbeville, SC, he was a son of the late Robert Edward Hall, Sr. and Ernestine Nelson Hall.

Charles was a Korean War veteran and a former member of the American Legion Post # 2. He was also a mason and a member of the Dew Drop Lodge in Antreville, SC. Charles was retired from the City of Abbeville Water Plant with over 30 years of service. He was also a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include 3 grandchildren, Sandi Hall McClain and her husband, Chad, Courtney Lynn Hall both of Abbeville, SC and William Charles Hall of Lodge, SC; 2 brothers, Howard Hall of Abbeville, SC and Donald Hall of Anderson, SC; 1 great-grandchild, Cade McClain.

He was preceded in death by a son Charles W. Hall, Jr. and 4 brothers Gaines, Murray, Ed and David "Woot" Hall.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Chad Charles officiating. The family will recieve visitors after the service at graveside.The family is at the home 332 Nation Rd. Abbeville, SC.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made in memory of Charles to Midway Baptist Church 1218 Hwy. 284 Abbeville, SC 29620 or Ark Hospice 101 Grace Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
