Charles "Bill" William Greene

April 8, 1929 — August 5, 2008

Charles William "Bill" Greene, 79, resident of 205-A Pinckney St., husband of Dorothy Young Greene, died Tuesday Aug. 5, 2008 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was the son of the late John B. and Macie Mitchell Greene.

He was the retired Owner & Operator of Greene's TV and Repair Service. His family was one of the founding families of the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was an active member all of his life. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and his many friends.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years Dorothy Young Greene of the home; 1 daughter Jenny Kidd and her husband Randall of Abbeville, SC; 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Hill and a granddaughter Katrina Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Aug. 7, 2008 at 2:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with the Rev. Timothy Thompson officiating. The burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.

Bill is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening. The family is at the home of his daughter Mr. & Mrs. Randall Kidd 205 Pinckney St. Abbeville, SC.

Memorials in memory of Bill may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Building Improvement Fund, PO Box 430 Abbeville, SC 29620.
