Carolyn Fisher Sharpton

Mary Carolyn Fisher Sharpton, 88, resident of 107 McGowan Ave. widow of William Clifton (Bill) Sharpton passed away Sunday April 7, 2013 at the home of her daughter 108 Cherokee Drive in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late Alford Branson Fisher and Nellie Fisher Fisher.

Carolyn was a retired legal secretary having worked for Syfan and Mars Attorneys-at-Law. She attended St. Mark United Methodist Church and Trinity Episcopal Church. She enjoyed cooking and sharing with her friends and also spending time with her family.

Survivors include 2 sons, William "Bill" Branson Sharpton( Ann) of Evans, Georgia and Neal Cannon Sharpton(Gwyn) of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Nell Sharpton Jones of Greenwood, SC; a brother, Alford Branson (Bill) Fisher of Greenwood, SC; 3 sisters, Thelma Culbreth of Greenwood, SC, Peggy Rogers of Ninety Six, SC and Shirley Shamel of Anderson, SC; 4 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Barrett Alewine officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
