Carolyn "Cookie" Edmunds

Carolyn "Cookie" Dorn Edmunds, 63, resident of 1340 Greenfield Rd., wife of Emory B. Edmunds, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in McCormick, SC, Cookie was the daughter of the late Walton and Lilly Belle Faulkner Dorn.

She was a homemaker, an avid cook and a special friend to her children and many "adopted" children with whom she came into contact with. She was also a devoted member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Emory B. Edmunds; children, Michelle, Carol, Wanda, Keith, Joy and RT; grandchildren, Britney, Amelia, Krystal, Drayton, Rianna, Haley and David; sisters and brothers, Amanda, Ruth, Juanita, Jackie, Jenny, Walton, James and Kenneth; and her beloved friend, Georgette.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Buffalo Baptist Church in McCormick. The burial will follow at Overbrook Cemetery also in McCormick.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon prior to the service.
