Bobby Ray “Squirrel” James, 64, husband of Darlene Mobley James, resident of Oak Place, entered into rest Friday, August 15, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Born on November 19, 1960, in Seneca to the late William Earl and Reba Virgina Ellenberg James, he worked in textiles until his health would no longer allow him to.
Bobby was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman in his younger years, as well as a collector of antiques. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. In his later years he would sit on the porch with his friends exchanging tall tales.
Surviving is his loving wife of 36 years, of the home, his daughter, Ashley James of Greenwood; his brother, William Earl James, Jr. of Abbeville; his sisters, Carol Holsinger of Jackson, OH, Rachael Robinson, Betty Johnson (Richard), and Kathy Johnson, all of Calhoun Falls; his grandchildren, Chassidy Thrasher, Emily James, Zachary James, Karleigh Jackson, and Kaileigh Jackson; a great grandson, Cayden. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Ray James.
