Billy Joe Minor, 67, resident of # 3 Edgewood Drive husband of Betty Jo Powell Minor died Monday Sept. 24, 2007 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born on Abbeville, SC he was the son of Mary Alice Ashley Minor and the late Joe Berry Minor.

He was a retired self employed painter and a member of the Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints Church in Greenwood, SC.

Survivors include his wife of Aiken, SC; 1 daughter Angel Staats of Maryland; 2 sons Roger Dale Minor and David Ray Minor both of Ware Shoals, SC; 3 sisters Shirley Hughes of Abbeville, SC; Nancy Smith of Wilmington, Delaware and Barbara Snow of New Castle, Delaware; his mother Mary Alice Ashley Minor of Wilmington, Delaware; 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1 son Ronald DeWayne Minor and 2 brothers Samuel James Minor and Roger Dale Minor.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Sept. 27, 2007 at 3:00 PM from the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home chapel. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.The family will be at the home of his sons Roger and David Minor #3 Edgewood Dr. Ware Shoals, SC after services.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will recieve friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM Thursday prior to services.
