Betty Jo Powell Minor

Betty Jo Powell Minor, 71, widow of Billy Joe Minor, resident of Wesley Commons Healthcare in Greenwood, SC, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Wesley Commons with her loving family by her side.

Born in Calhoun Falls, SC, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Powell and Eva McCurry Powell.

Betty Jo was a retired textile employee and was formerly employed with Huggins Garment Co. She was of the Mormon faith. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include her 2 sons Roger Minor and his wife, Alisha, and David Minor all of Ware Shoals, SC; 1 granddaughter, Nichole Marie Miller.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie D. Minor and sisters Mary Sullivan and Annie Ruth Barnes.

A Celebration of Betty's life will be conducted Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy. The family is at the home of her son Mr. & Mrs. Roger Minor 11 Pearl St. Ware Shoals, SC.

Memorials in memory of Betty may be made to the Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy.
