Betty Sue Knight Baldwin

Betty Sue Knight Baldwin, 83, resident of 102 Jacobs Hwy. Clinton, SC widow of Thomas "Tom" Edwin Baldwin passed away Monday Jan. 4, 2010 at Hospice of Laurens in Clinton, SC.

Born in Greenville Co. SC she was the daughter of the late Robert Arnold Knight and Mary McKittrick Knight.

Mrs. Baldwin was a retired homemaker. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton were she was a member of the Presbyterian Women of the church. She also had held other various offices in the church. She was a member of the DAR and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter Sue Baldwin Cannon and her husband Cory of Clinton, SC; a son Bob Baldwin of Clinton, SC; a sister Mary Jean Timmerman of Clinton, SC; 2 brothers Dr. Roland M. Knight and his wife Katherine of Greenville, SC and Allen M. Knight of Pelzer, SC; 4 grandchildren William Bradley 'Brad' Baldwin, Jennifer Baldwin Tummons, Katie Venable Lawson and her husband Anthony and Thomas "Tommy" Haywood Venable.

She was preceded in death by a son Thomas "Tommy" Edwin Baldwin.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be conducted Tuesday Jan. 5, 2010 at 3:00 PM in First Presbyterian Church of Clinton with the Rev. Wain Wesberry officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following services in the social hall of First Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be private at a later date.

The family is at the home 102 Jacobs Hwy. Clinton, SC.
