Bertha "Nonnie" Towler Byrd

Bertha "Nonnie" Towler Byrd, 91, resident of 503 East Greenwood St. widow of Thomas Robert Byrd died Wednesday Dec. 12, 2007 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

She was a retired secretarial employee in Walton Co. GA for many years. Upon her retirement and moving to Abbeville, SC she became the secretary at Savitz Drug Store. She was also a faithful member of Abbeville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister Josephine T. Philburn of Vero Beach, FL and a sister-in-law Eloise B. Doster of Port Orange, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted Sunday Dec. 16, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev.'s Sandy Scott and Reiny Koschel officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
