Jim and Becky, What a joy it was to know both your parents as distant relatives somewhere on the family tree but most of all as friends! I still miss my conversations with them before lunch during their DWRC days. Your dad would always say something hilarious, and your mom would light up the room with that beautiful smile and join in the laughter. Even long after illness robbed her of the ability to communicate verbally, she retained that sense of humor and that quiet laugh. So sorry not to have been able to attend her funeral service. We are praying for you. May you know those Everlasting Arms holding you up in your loss. Much love, Paul, Jeanne, John Paul, & Neely

Jim, Becky, and Mark, Your mom was an elegant, talented, gracious lady in every sense. I was truly blessed to be a part of her life in Carlisle. She leaves quite a legacy for you, and all who knew and loved her. She touched so many lives through her endearing smile, her gift of music, her teaching and in every aspect of her life. She was certainly a woman of virtue as spoken about in Proverbs 31. She will always live in our hearts. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. May God comfort you with His presence, and wonderful memories of your mom. Love, Ruth

Becky and Jim: Kids, I am sorry that you lost your mom and dad. I had not seen them (or you) in many years. This dates us all (but the good part is that it makes us and your folks 45 years younger): my memories are of riding the bus to your house after school in Charlotte for my music lesson with your happy, smiling mom. Becky, we would listen to your Beatles records and Jimmy would run around and generally be a pest. You, your mom and dad will always be those happy, smiling people in my memory, like friends we lose track of for decades until high school reunions. Great people, your parents! Great memories!

Jimmy and family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful mother. I know she will stay near you in her spiritual form. When you feel her presence, know that she is there. consider saving a chair for her at holiday gatherings and play her favorite music when you feel her close. She must have been an amazing woman to raise you and your sister. My heart aches for you and I send you white healing light and lots of love. candye kane

Jim and Becky, May you know the Lord's presence and care in these days following your mother's death. She was a special lady. I sang in the church choir under your mom's direction as an Erskine student and remember her fondly. She did have a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile. With love and sympathy, Ruth
