Alma "Lois" Bratcher, 75, resident of # 14 Woodview Apts. passed away peacefully Wednesday at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born in McCormick Co. SC the daughter of the late Hoke Hammond Bratcher and Georgia Boyter Bratcher.
She was a textile employee with Bloomsburg Mills for many years. She retired from Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson, SC as a Hospice Caregiver. She was a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church. She will be truly missed by her caring family and her many friends.
Survivors include 5 children Ann Campbell and her husband Richard, Johnny Botts and his wife Glenda, Gail Waldrop and her husband John; Debra McNeill and her husband Allen and Linda Botts all of Abbeville, SC, 4 sisters Faye Brown, Mae Pressley, Louise Phillips and Jean Pressley: 2 brothers John Bratcher and Ray Bratcher; A close friend Tommy Brown, 6 grandchildren Lesley Price, Aubrey Botts, Rein Freeman, Matthew McNeill, Jessica Wilson and Dylan Bonner and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers Truman, Herman and Winton Bratcher.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday June 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home conducted by Dr. John Miller. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at the home her daughter Mr. & Mrs. John Waldrop 430 Noble Drive Abbeville, SC.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1 PM Friday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home.
