Alice Aileen Nixon Loftis

August 22, 1915 — June 12, 2004

Alice Aileen Loftis Nixon, 88, resident of 242 Main St. Hwy. 81, Lowndesville, SC, widow of W.D. Nixon, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at her home.

Born in Calhoun Falls, SC she was a daughter of the late John Evans and Lula Mae Watkins Loftis.

She was a retired weaver with Abbeville Mills and an active member of Smyrna United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Frankie G. Nixon and his wife Grace; daughter-in-law, Elaine P. Nixon; daughter, Sherri N. Caldwell and her husband Glenn; two brothers, Joe Loftis of Abbeville, SC and Billy Loftis of Forest Park, GA; five sisters, Johnnie Botts and Mary Breedlove, both of Abbeville, SC, Betty Sammons of Calhoun Falls, SC, Clatie McNeil of Greenville, SC and Tobatha Thompson of Virginia; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Granddaughter Debra Johnette Nixon and great-granddaughter Nikkie Ann Nixon.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 14, 2004 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev's. Thomas Smith, Randy Fleming and Nina Reynolds officiating. The burial will follow in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lowndesville, SC.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends form 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday afternoon prior to services.
